The very old vines ‘’Merweh’’ planted century ago at 1100m above the sea level of St. Mikhaël Monastery Land, Bnabil (Mount Lebanon). The vineyard covers an area of 2 hectares of Clay-limestone basement soil. The Lebanese White indigenous grapes have been cultivated traditionally by the monks with no use of chemicals or fertilizers, in respect to the soil and to the environment. Preserving this heritage, ADYAR is still maintaining till now the traditional vinification method. The result is an expressive dry white wine, not filtered for a better taste of the «terroir». This wine has a pale and brilliant gold color, an expressive nose, on sage and fresh grass, slightly peppery, and a light touch of hazelnuts. An explosion of freshness with a round and crunchy material. The finish is invigorating, combining fine chalky astringency with noble bitters (citrus, sage and pomelo peel). Pairing food: Lebanese freekeh, Spicy fish, and sea food dishes. Vintage: 2019 Region: Metn Organic Wine Grape Variety: 100% Merweh Alcohol Content: 12.8% alc./vol.
